Terminal handoff
Somebody is already there when they land
A greeter inside the terminal, at baggage claim or at the FBO — taking the bags, making the chauffeur connection, and handling whatever the arrival turns out to need.
We collect at baggage claim.

What this service handles
Curbside works until it does not. A first-time visitor, a family with four bags and a stroller, an executive on a tight connection, a passenger who does not speak English confidently, an arrival at eleven at night into a terminal that is emptying — these are the arrivals where the difference between a phone call and a person holding a sign is the whole experience.
The greeter meets the passenger inside, at baggage claim or at the FBO, takes the bags, and completes the handoff: to the chauffeur waiting outside, to a VaultPac luggage movement if the bags are going somewhere the passenger is not, or to both.
It is also sold to other transportation companies. A limousine operator with a client arriving into Chicago and no local staff inside the terminal can buy the terminal half of the movement without buying the car.

How VaultPac coordinates it
Every booking is a trip. A trip carries trip services, and each service breaks into the individual movements that actually have to happen — which is why the people and the bags do not have to travel the same way.

-
Meet & greet
A greeter recorded on the movement itself, so dispatch knows the handoff is staffed and not assumed.
-
Trip → Trip Services → Movements
One trip holds every service on it, and each service breaks into the individual movements that have to happen. A single booking can carry people and bags on different vehicles and different clocks without becoming two bookings.
-
Passenger movement
Sedan, SUV, Sprinter, minibus and coach movements priced and dispatched by the transportation engine.
-
Luggage movement
Bags booked as their own movement, with their own route, their own timing and their own proof.
-
QR custody scan
Every bag carries a tag. Each change of hands is scanned, so custody is a record rather than a recollection.
-
Proof of pickup
Time, place and who released the item, captured at collection.
-
Dispatch monitoring
Every movement on one board while it runs, so a late arrival is seen rather than reported.
-
FBO coordination
Tail number, operator, FBO and arrival details captured on the movement so the vehicle meets the aircraft rather than the terminal.
What runs this movement
Assignment reads the passenger count and the bag count, so the vehicle that arrives fits both. Larger movements run several.

Why VaultPac for this
- The greeter is recorded on the movement, so dispatch knows the handoff is staffed rather than assumed.
- Where VaultPac takes the bags, custody starts at the scan — not at the car.
- Available as the terminal half on its own, for operators who have the vehicle but not the local staff.
- Works at the FBO as well as the terminal.
Questions
Where exactly does the greeter meet the passenger?
Baggage claim is the default at O'Hare and Midway. For private aviation it is the FBO lobby. Anywhere else inside the terminal depends on the airline and the terminal, so tell us the flight and we will confirm the meeting point before the day.
Can I book meet & greet without booking a vehicle?
Yes. It is frequently sold on its own to transportation companies whose client is arriving into Chicago, and to travellers whose car is already arranged.
Does the greeter take custody of the bags?
Only if the bags are entering a VaultPac luggage movement. In that case each bag is tagged and scanned at the handoff, and proof of pickup is recorded. If the bags are going into the passenger's own vehicle, the greeter assists but no custody record is created.
